Writing down that which we are grateful for helps to shift our focus off the things we cannot control, and onto the positive aspects of our life; those that we are blessed to experience.
In honoring this simple, daily adjustment in our routines, we change the energy of our being to vibrate at a higher frequency, therefore attracting more sustenance into our lives that is rooted in love.
It's funny how as women (and I can't speak for men, so I apologize if they feel the same way..) when Spring hits, you have an innate urge to cleanse, purge, re-vamp, freshen and clear out the old and make way for the new. This has been going on for me personally since January, but I really feel it lately with the onslaught of beautiful sunny days we've been getting on our little chunk of earth surrounded by the Pacific on the West Coast of British Columbia.
My day was wonderful, and I'm so thankful for that. I had some business to attend to today, and all was done in good time, which left me time to go to an impressive Yoga class with Lesley Lawrence from LallyB Yoga, do a leg workout at the gym, AND go for a healthy run around the ever-scenic Westwood Lake in my home town of Nanaimo. I was grateful for the warm weather that allowed me to enjoy running without losing some appendages to frost bite, and for the brilliant sunshine that made for some great photographic moments. I'm grateful for my appreciation and love of Yoga, and for the overall body wellness and energy that I feel afterward my practice. I'm grateful that I had the time today to do some outdoor activities, something that I plan on doing much more of this year.
Oh, and, given the sign I saw at the tail end of my run today, I'm also very grateful that I didn't encounter any unexpected trail-mates. ;)
I am grateful and I am blessed...
